Finished through chart row 300. Lots of goings on in the house today, just had the workmen finish installing a new Koehler walk-in-tub, so not a lot of knitting was happening for the last two days. My goal is to be finished with the model and the pattern by Sunday.

This is not my usual update time frame, I normally update every 50 chart rows, but I just had to take photos once I got done with the eyes! I am beyond excited at how my drawing is coming to life, right before my eyes. Creating the Illusion chart from my owl drawing is one thing, but to see the knitting actually look exactly like the drawing itself, is beyond believe. I have all kinds of ideas running around in my head on all of the possibilities of what I can achieve now that I have mastered the art of charting/knitting in illusion knitting. The video and image are 250 chart rows complete. The Owl's face is simply amazing! It's wonderful to see my drawing coming to life. The video is 200 chart rows complete, the image is the same but it shows more detail I think. Thursday afternoon I finished the 200 rows, and I'm just a few more rows to get to the center, then I start the decreases. First video is 100 chart rows complete. Second video is 150 chart rows complete. Saturday I finished the 100 rows, and Monday (today) finished the 150 rows. I find it so addictive, I haven't started up the Zebra Head Blanket yet! I decided after lots of thoughtful consideration to make the Zebra Head into a blanket instead of a wall hanging. The chart is complete, and I will be working on it in between my other 3 projects, below is a sampling of what it will look like.
It should be a minimum of 50" wide and ?? length, using DK weight. Once I get going I will be able to give better measurements after a few calculations. Who doesn't love Zebra's? ❤️ TTT Well, I finished A King's Obsession - Anne Boleyn, 10 days ago, just needs to be mounted. Decided to work on my Owl Shawl chart, and got so caught up in it, I finished it! YAY Below is the video of the first 50 chart rows, made with merino/silk blend, fingering weight. I am so very pleased with my drawing coming to life. (no sound) |
