Week 3 is finished, adding the front and back stitches, but some are not all the way finished, but Week 4 has been sent.
Much Luv ❤️🦉 Week 1 is finished and you can see the flight feathers on the sleeve, and now onto Week 2
Everyone is doing a brilliant job of it, and we are having a great time video chatting on Saturdays. I know I am having a fabulous time, and I definitely picked a fantastic bunch of ladies for the KAL. Much Luv ❤️🦉 Finally the weather/wind has cooperated enough to get the photo shoot done today. So she has been published on Raverly, I'm working on Etsy and LoveCrafts at the moment. Yep, you guessed it, I'm starting a new project! So what does that mean?
Well, that means that the Butterfly Illusion Shawl is done, and is ready for it's photo shoot! But because we are having a rainy day today, it will have to be tomorrow before the pattern is released. So on to my next adventure in illusion knitting, I had a member ask if I could possibly make a sweater with an illusion, well here is my first answer to that, took me a few weeks to figure it out, but here I am getting ready to start to knit the model. Going with a Christmas theme, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! ❤️🎄 The butterfly is almost finished! I decided that I needed to make this post for everyone that has been waiting for me to get done. If you feel brave enough to follow in my footsteps with this pattern, you will need (2) tubes of Maurice Brassard Tencel 8/2 Yarn in the color Bleu Moyen, and (4) balls of Knit Picks Capretta Superwash in the color Eclipse Heather. I will let you know that the Tencel is not easy, as you need to hold (3) strands together as you will see in the picture below, it works out best to have the three cakes of the tencel instead of putting them together first. Otherwise you can pick your own combination of fingering weight yarn to use.
The Tencel I purchased from The Woolery, and the Capretta is from Knit Picks. So be on the look out, as I will be posting the pattern and the accompanying videos early next week. Much Luv 🦋❤️ Just finished the 2nd ball of the black on the first pass of chart row 250! I've been doing the decreases for a little bit, so I'm on the home stretch. Now you can see the full body of the butterfly 🦋❤️ Sorry for the slow down on blog posts with the updates, Dad was in need of my full attention. But here I'm back now, and just completed the Butterfly to the center, so now I will be doing the decreases. Wanted to finish the first ball of the Capretta before I updated again, so this is through chart row 174. Still have a bit to go before I get to the body of the Butterfly. It's going extremely well, the new charts are amazing to work from.
The image is in a shadow from the back of my chair, the blue is really shiny and bright. I don't think I would recommend using the Tencel fiber for newbies, it isn't bad holding the three strands together, Tencel is just very slippery. 😂🦋 |
